Jenna Fischer has become best known as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. In the course of playing this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. She was awed by performance and theater was instilled as a little girl.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She went on to star in the world premiere of Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance on Old Globe Theatre. The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer began with the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, 2019. The podcast soon became popular. Every week it ranked within the Top Ten in global downloads and had more than 200 million downloaded in the first couple years. In January 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's published two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood as a working actor, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, an account of the most memorable friendship they had and their experiences in The Office.
