One child was strapped onto my back, while another crawled around in the playpen. I worked 12 hour days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, and with just one child. Ha! I continued to work on furniture even after we had furnished our house. There was a place in the market that I could sell my pieces. Then, my collection got enough that the area I had was no longer adequate. There were open houses in my home that saw more than 1 000 visitors could visit in one weekend, and purchase anything they wanted in the first floor. Growing Days was created in this house. Apart from my successful business, I also grew our family. I was finding that balance of what it was like to start a new business and be a mommy too. Growing Days just seemed to fit. The year was 2013, and my lovely daughter Nora came along our 4th baby. My business's direction was excellent, however I was forced to take some time off. I took a pause from creating furniture for vintage homes, and also slowed my pace in order to stay at home and raise the children. That was exactly what I was looking for at the time. But after a short time the phone started ringing. A lot of people contacted me for help on home improvement and decorating. The majority of them had visited my house at the open houses to purchase furniture. After that, I gradually took on more clients, in my own way. Soon I had multiple clients and I was running a business of home renovations. When you first spoke to me about your home remodeling business I was astonished. In the present, as I reflect on the situation and think about it, I laugh.
