In the weeks that followed the students from all over participated in Thunberg's #FridaysforFuture protests. Students opted to skip Friday school in protest against global warming. Climate activists from around the world joined together to organize the Global Strike for Climate. The event was hugely successful, more than 1.6million people from over 150 countries took part.
