April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started with guitar and piano in the 7th grade, which ignited the interest of her. At the age of seven she began to take guitar and piano lessons. The lessons sparked her passion to write songs. She spent lots of time at 14 writing songs and practicing the piano. After a while, she began traveling with her father and write at home in NY or LA. April also began to include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with issues such as social pressure and teen suicide in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own following and works as a lifestyle blogger with the well-known Ilia clean beauty brand. Her birth was without a left hand and that is part of who she is--but this isn't the whole truth. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on the issue. The message? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity self aren't as they seem. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me.
